Hyde Park Village will transform to a living art gallery on Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, when 200 of the nation’s top artists come to town for the 17th Annual Hyde Park Village Art Festival. Admission is free.

“This art fair has grown to be one of the nation’s finest, ranked by Sunshine Magazine as one of the top 100 shows,” said Howard Alan, event organizer. “And, locally, this festival has become a much anticipated annual tradition.”

Visitors will find spectacular paintings, life-size sculptures, jewelry, photography, ceramics and more. This popular outdoor event will feature art for every taste and budget, with prices ranging from $20 to $20,000.

Unlike a gallery or museum, a fine art festival such as this one offers art enthusiasts the unique opportunity to meet the artists in person; commission a specific piece; ask questions about techniques; learn the sources of their inspiration and purchase fine works of art directly from the artists.

Selecting artists based on quality and originality, an independent panel of judges chose the exhibiting artists from more than 1,000 submissions.

The trendy Hyde Park Village is located at Swann and Rome Avenues, just minutes from downtown Tampa.

From I-275: Take the Howard/Armenia exit near downtown.
Go south on Armenia to Swann Ave.
Turn left on Swann and go about 1/4 mile to Old Hyde Park Village
